Hello,

1 - Not sure what do you mean --> the wheels of my 2 mice work to zoom in / out all the time. Did you update the driver of your mouse?
2 - Yes, there is --> use the the right button of your mouse
3 - If you have V16, use 3D --> Decoration options --> Default design materials

I figured out when the wheel on the mouse no longer works. It's when I move the window to my 2nd Samsung display.

I still am wondering if there is a way to show scroll bars on the sides of the 2d drawing so that I can move the drawing left or right, up or down. I have no scroll bars at all now. Is it an option? I do not see anything on the "right mouse click" menu, except "fit to window" which doesn't really help me. Thanks

Hi there,

You can use the hand tool to pan the drawing and move across the screen

Right click --> nope, didn't say this --> your question was --> There is no "elevator" neither vertical nor horizontal --> my answer --> Yes, there is --> use the the right button of your mouse --> this doesn't mean to right click on the plan --> in live view use the right button of your mouse to change view elevation

Ok, I see where the conflict is.
Judi is talking about the 2D plan, not the live view and that's where the conflict about the right click occurred. I can clearly see that.

1). That's interesting that you should loose your wheel function when moving to a another display.
2). Judi, you are correct, there isn't in your terms an "elevator" niether horizontal or vertical to move you up and down and sideways across the 2D display. You can do 2 things. 1-Use your Pan tool (It's the hand tool). 2-click the 'restore down' button on the top right section of the window HOWEVER, do not click the resotre down for the program, just for the 2d plan. This will give you the scroll bars vertically and horizonatally. See the image.
3). Patrica has already answered that for you.

In most modern visual tools (like Visio, LucidChart, etc.) the wheel scrolls the screen vertically, the shift+wheel scrolls horizontally, and the Ctrl+wheel zooms in/out.

The problem for me is that I am very used to these more "standard" operations and every time I touch the wheel (usually by accident) the entire view re-centers and zooms in or out. I would love to map the mouse functions within the application through program settings. Is there such a thing?

Hi there,

The mouse functions are not related with modern or old settings but with standards associated with the type of products.

For example if I open a document using MS Word (for example), I will get a certain right click menu or wheel behavior that will be different compared with the right click menu or wheel behavior using Corel Paint Shop Pro, because they are different types of products that use different standards.
BTW, Corel PSP 2018 is a really modern program (it was released in August 2017) and the wheel zooms in and out.

In our case, using a Home Design program (like Punch), as well as any CAD program (Draftsight, Autocad, etc.) the mouse wheel zooms in and out.

In Punch 2D => left button selects, wheel zooms in and out, right click provides context menu
In Punch 3D => if you click the little man icon (for example) in the live view screen => using your mouse => hold the left button => go forward / backward / left right. The mouse wheel will look up and down. The right button will change the elevation of the little man.
