Hi,
HDSC for the Mac v19.0.8.
Is there a way to move the viewpoint closer to the structure in the Elevation Editor view (i.e. "zoom in" as one does in 2D)?
If so, an hour of reading manuals, ebooks and forum posts have failed to produce it for me! Confused

Hi Dave,

It works as zooming the 2D plans and the method depends of your Mac / mouse configuration => with some mice you can simply use the wheel and for some plain wheel mice, hold the Command key down while you use the wheel => rotating the wheel up and down you can zoom the elevation.

Hi, Pat. My mouse, an Apple Magic Mouse, must not have the right "magic". I'll try a different mouse and see if I can get it to work.

Dave,

Two additional tips:

- Using an Apple Magic Mouse => Hold down the [control] key, then slide your finger to the top or bottom of the mouse, and you’ll zoom in and out just like you would with a mouse scrollwheel.

- If you have a MacBook Pro or a MacBook Air => Hold down the [ctrl] key => take two fingers and swipe upwards on the trackpad area to zoom in, then use your two fingers to swipe downwards to zoom out.

Or let us know what happened with a different mouse

Thanks, Pat, but this gesture on the Mac magic mouse works as a scroll wheel in other applications (e.g. in the 2D view it zooms with the Command key, and in 3D walkaround mode it tilts the view with the Control key), but nothing in the 3D Elevation Editor.

I'll look for another mouse, try it and let you know what happens.

Hi all,

Here's an update on my experience with this issue:

First, for clarity, I'm running Punch Home Design Studio Complete for the Mac, version 19.0.8, on an iMac 21.5 inch, late 2012, with 2.9 GHz processor, 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 512 MB graphics (macOS Mojave 10.14.3). I give all this detail because I'm thinking it might be a resource issue with my computer (not a computer whiz by any means).

Second, I am able to zoom the 3D Elevation Editor view using the Command key plus slide finger on the magic mouse in the normal scroll fashion. However, I'm not able to do it all the time. Sometimes it just refuses to respond to inputs. So, often after quitting app and restarting computer, it will start to work again. Not optimal.

In case anyone is having the same issue....

Hi there,

Did you see online that there are lots of functionality problems with the Magic Mouse, specially for Mojave users?

I'd recommend to search this issue online => some websites include additional drivers and tricks.
