OK, so my previous question was answered perfectly. now I have another issue with the roof.
I want a gable roof on a plan that is not a square or rectangle. (See attached).
Auto roof works but create a hip roof and adjusting wall does not work correctly because the two sides of the plan do not match.
I want the one side of the roof to overhang further to cover the porch area.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hi there,

Step 1: define the walls settings => shape, height, etc.
Step 2: create an autoroof.
Step 3: edit the pieces (individually) as desired.

Hope this helps.

Hi Pat,

So I am slowly getting there.
I have another issue I just cant figure out. In the screenshot below, I created a Gable wall however I can not get the auto-roof function to complete it. How can I go about connecting it to the roof?
Thanks again for all your help

Hi there,

Autoroof with gables only works if the gables are end walls.

Otherwise, your best option is the freehand roof tool.

Hope this helps.

Yep, manually creating it worked.

Thanks again!
