Good morning! I have recently upgraded to V21 for Mac and trying to place cabinets in my kitchen. This is the primary reason I purchased the upgrade from V17 I no longer could use, as my wife and I are planning on remodeling.

So when I select the top of cabinet I wish to place, it always places an "Island" cabinet. Even if I choose top and bottom, or built in fridge or oven or any of them. Even if I select top (wall) cabinet, it always places an island.

Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Hi there,

When you use the Cabinet tool (Floor Tab), you have two options to place the cabinets.
- If you place the cabinet by clicking on the floor of the room, Punch will set an island cabinet.
- If you place the cabinet by clicking or dragging on the wall of the room, Punch will set a wall cabinet using the selected model => go to the cabinets' menu => select the desired model => click inside the wall.

Important Tip: you can insert the cabinet first and select the model after.

Now, if you wish to add cabinets without the walls, check my Cabinets Collection
It is a new collection with dozens of cabinets, islands, sets, pieces, etc. They don’t need to be attached to a wall and they can be customized using different models, hardware, materials, colors, and features.
