I cannot figure out how to get vertical wood posts to render in 3D? Working on an open beam front porch.
Sketch.jpg (107kb) downloaded 0 time(s).

Front Porch 2.png (640kb) downloaded 8 time(s).

Front Porch 1.png (542kb) downloaded 1 time(s).

Thanks for the help!

Hi there,

when you post questions at the Forum, please inform the exact version number of your program (V15 or V18 or V21, etc)
Different programs and versions include different features, so we need the information in order to provide the correct solutions.
On the PC you will find this info in the main menu => Help => About… On the Mac this info is on the title menu => About…

Hi there,

In Punch, in order to suit your necessities, you have different rendering modes. So, for example, if you need to render an image for presentation purposes, you use the Shaded Mode. If you need to render the structure, you use the Framing Mode. The components defined as "structure" (such us support columns, beams, joists, etc) don't appear in shaded mode => this is is why you can't see the structural columns in Shaded Mode.

I'd suggest that you use the columns in the Furnishing Library.

Hope this helps.
