I have been trying to create a house with three floors: a basement, first floor or main floor and an upper floor. For some reason I can only see the basement and the first floor. I an view the outline of the third floor but it has no 'walls'. I notice none of the sample plans contain three floors. Something missing?

Hi Marionkessy,
Sure you can. All the Punch programs allow 3 levels Not sure what do you mean with "no walls" Do you see the levels in the floor plan? Is the problem in Liveview?
If the problem is just in liveview, verify if the 3D cutaway slider is active (left of the liveview screen)
If the problem persists, send me your file and I;ll check it

As a matter of fact you can set two or more floors for each level, just setting the different floors' elevations Is a little tricky but can be done http://www.punchhelpers.com/commercial1.htmlIn the next days I will update my galleries and you'll see a tall building developed with Punch Now, there is another possibility for the missing walls (Marionkessy problem)--> In the floorplan--> select one of the missing walls--> Main menu--> Edit--> Set object elevation--> verify if the wall elevation is the intended elevation--> if you have a default ceiling height of 96" in the first level and a default ceiling height of 96" in the second level, the elevation of the walls of the third floor should be= 192 inches-> if you see something different (like 1192", for example) then the wrong elevation is the problem--> you need to set the elevation of the walls to the right elevation Hope this helps Patricia |

The Ceiling Height works always, and is absolutely reliable. However, is true that you can't apply this tool (raw) if you have a basement under the 0"level. But.... as IMO this tool is necessary to develop the project, this is what I do Develop you project as 3 levels, imagining that the basement starts at the level 0" (relative to the grass)--> set the default ceiling heights--> as in your example, say the basement height is 96"and the second floor starts at 0"--> set your walls, floors, furniture, etc--> go to the Topo tab --> create a shape covering all the lot --> set the elevation at 96" --> the basement will be interred and the second floor will start at 96"
Hope this helps
