Hi there,
As you stated, Punch import just 3 formats (DXF/DWG, 3DS or SketchUp)
In your case, you have 2 options to import the topography:
2D => you can import a 2D DXF / DWG file => select the topo lines and convert to topography elements.
In this case, use this tutorial in my website:
http://www.punchhelpers.com/acadtutorial.html3D: you can import the topography as a 3DS object (Autocad exports to 3DS). Notice that it will be just an object (like a chair) so you won't be able to use Punch's topography tools.
