Hi there, Use the Photoview Power Tool to insert the picture. In the floor plan, you will see just a line, but in 3D, you will see the image => set the correct dimensions. In the images linked below, I started with a picture inserted in the Punch work space and I added (drag and drop) the Punch objects / plants--> trellis, flowers, landscape elements, etc http://www.punchhelpers.com/exterior2.html http://www.punchhelpers.com/exterior3.html http://www.punchhelpers.com/exterior4.html http://www.punchhelpers.com/exterior5.html In the image linked below, the house on the left is a picture. The addition on the right and the shutters are Punch's http://www.punchhelpers.com/exterior6.html Patricia G. / Forum Moderator --> My website: www.punchhelpers.com--> My all in one e-book for V19: Learning Punch Software (R): Training, Tools & Tutorials for V19 --> My all in one e-book for V18: Learning Punch Software (R): Training, Tools & Tutorials for V18 --> My all in one e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Training, Tools & Tutorials - Second Edition --> My e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Basic & Advanced Training-Second Edition --> My e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Importing, Exporting and Printing-Second Edition --> My e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Power Tools-Second Edition --> My free e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Mini - Tutorials --> My e-books free video presentation: Pat's e-books --> My Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/punchhelpers.links--> My Tips & Tricks notes: https://www.facebook.com/punchhelpers.links/notes |

I finally got the image to appear in the 3d view. However, how do I utilize the picture itself>? I go to add a plant and I see it added on 2d but it's all behind the picture I uploaded showing in 3d?

Hi there, As I stated in my previous post, in the floor plan the picture will appear as a line. Therefore, I'd suggest to set the landscaping elements in the floorplan but in front of the picture as shown in the images linked in my post. The Photoview Power Tool is well described in the User Guide => the chapter called "Photoview" starts on page 281. I do place items from the library in front of the "line" in 2D view. However, they aren't even close to the picture to get an idea of where the landscape would be in real life. Where is the user guide that I can find out more?

Hi there, the user guide is located in the Help section. Keep in mind that the picture needs to be adjusted to fit the view position. Of course, you will get better results and flexibility if you create the 3D model of the house. Does the image need to be cropped (remove sidewalk and front area so basically it is just the freestanding home in the picture). After reviewing the user guide page 282 and beyond, it wasnt clear as to what needed to be in picture. Also, when it says real time height of the image does this mean if the picture in the house is 60 feet wide and 30 feet high, this is what you plug in to make sure the image fits in the viewer once uploaded?

Hi there, I merged your two posts, because part of the text was duplicated. Can you tell me the version number of your Punch program?
