Hi Tobin,

I received and I checked your files--> both work fine in all my computers. Therefore, you should check if your computer's specs are according with the program specs

My Vista shuts down too and I believe I have the specs required - can you please help as I need to estimate if I can afford to proceed and build what I have designed.

Thanks Ron

I cannot figure out how to get the 3D to take me inside the rooms to paint & decorate. I have tried everything, but I must be missing something important,
I can always get the little guy to walk around the outside, but just can't get inside,

Hi Mary Almond

In order to see the interior of the house, use the walk-through tool (little man)
A nice trick--> set the screen as half floorplan / half liveview--> set liveview as Walk-Through (the little man)--> in the floorplan view, you will see an arrow symbol --> point the arrow with the mouse and move this arrow to position the Walk-Through view--> if you rotate the point of the arrow, the Walk-Through point if view will rotate as well

How does rotation work for 2D objects? I have (repeatedly) read the help file for rotation, but can't get it to work. I put a tub/shower in a room. The text is upside down, so I tried to rotate the tub 180. nothing happens.

Hi Mike,

The tub / shower fixture in the Plumbing tab is attached to a wall. In several tabs, you will find fixtures attached to wall --> in the Plumbing tab (toilet, sink, shower, etc) as well as the electrical (Outlets, plugs, etc) or HVAC
As these fixtures are attached to the wall, they are part of the wall, so you can't rotate them

If your tub is rotated 180 degrees, you can place the tub in the opposite wall

If you prefer, you can use a tub - object --> Furnishing --> Bath --> Bathtubs --> as these objects are POBs (Punch Objects) they are not part of the wall and you can rotate them without problems

I am not able to create a split-level house design with Home & Landscape desing Premium. I am running windows 7 64 bits. I followed the instructions on how to create a split-level but once I get to third part of the instructions (Select all points of the newly-drawn section, by clicking on each wall, while holding down SHIFT.) nothing happens and I cannot see the Elevator Slider of the fourth part of the instructions (On the left side of your window,
move the Elevation Slider to the position needed for the split.).
The third floor's elevation level reminds at 16 feet when it should be 8 feet and I am assuming this is because I cannot create the second floor as a split-level.
