Hi Bob,

To locate an object visible in 3D but not in 2D, try this:
Start with the first level, in the first tab (Foundation) and go over the following tabs (Floor, Electrical, etc). Repeat the process in the second and third floors, with all the tabs , until you find the object

If you wish to select the object in liveview, you can use the 3D selection tool (arrow icon --> Live view screen) You can select items just on the active floor / tab. So, if you click on the object in live view and it doesn't become active in the plan, try with other level /tab (try all the levels independently of the level where the object seems to be)
I suggest to work with liveview / half view so you can control the plan and the live view at the same time

Not really. I didn't write that must be an unexpected tab. Tabs are not unexpected, never. Actually, is the other way around and this is a very important point to clarify, in order to avoid misconceptions
Punch is organized in 3 levels (floors) and each level has 8, 9 or 10 different subjects called tabs. The number of tabs depends of your Punch version: for example it is none for very old versions like Punch Super V3, 9 tabs for versions like AS 5000 or NexGen Blue V14 or 10 tabs for versions like Home & Landscape Design Architectural Series or NexGen Blue Premium.
Some tabs are linked as the Electrical and Floor, and other tabs can be used alone, as the landscape tab. For this reason, is a good idea to examine the tabs separatelly because sometimes one object is over the other --> if you have all them in a tab, you can miss one of the objects
Regarding the objects rotation: two notes, 1 - it cannot be the problem because the user sees the object 2 - The rotation issue was a problem in the old versions, it doesn't happen in the new versions (version 16 or V3 programs)
The zoom is not really necessary if the object's highlight is ON

Hope this helps

Thanks, Found it under the "Roof" tab of all places. Thanks for the input, I understand how this works now.

Hi Bob,

You're welcome! :-)

Please, note the importance of the comments of my last post (regarding the importance of expecting the tabs' locations)

Let me clarify a couple of points
1 - The questions at the Forum are answered and they stay as a searchable knowledge database, so if an answer is not accurate it will mislead future users, so my goal is to clarify the right answer in order to help future users searching the database
2 - I didn't say that you imagined the rotation issue. I just pointed that the tabs are not unexpected and I wrote that "The rotation issue was a problem in the old versions".
