Hi Dan,

The Log Objects' library was released with Punch Version 6 by the end of 2002, and they were and they are part of all the Punch program since then. This is the reason why you will find old posts, because in the first years there were lots of questions! :-)
These Punch Objects (POBs) were developed 100% with Punch, and they can be opened and edited with any Punch program / version V6 and up
Using the Windows versions --> you can open any object with the 3D Workshop Power Tool --> You can modify the objects, resize them or make other changes
Using the mac version --> you can open any object with the 3D Workshop Pro Power Tool --> You can modify the objects, resize them or make other changes

As stated above, the log elements are objects (as there are the tables, chairs, etc), therefore they don't have structural or constructive properties
In order to create a log wall, you can develop a normal wall and texture it with logs. You can apply doors and windows on these walls

You can see an example of a log house in my website
