Hi there, First, I'd suggest that you use the Search content feature, using the Botanical Name of the plant. Sometimes the plants have different Common Names, so the Botanical Name will narrow your search. Of course, you can search by the common name too. You can use also the PlantFinder tool to search the plant by the plant properties Both tools are available at the bottom of the Inspector screen (by selecting the plant library) Now, regarding the plant name => Hold your cursor over the preview of the plant and that plant’s name will be displayed in the Status Bar (the status bar is at the bottom of the screen) Patricia --> My website: www.punchhelpers.com--> My NEW e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Basic & Advanced Training --> My e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Importing, Exporting and Printing --> My e-books free video presentation: Pat's e-books --> My Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/punchhelpers.links |

Thanks Patricia, Perhaps there is a glitch with my operating system. When I hold the cursor over the preview of the plant, nothing appears in the status bar. I should have mentioned that in my earlier post. Ye, I tried all of those search techniques, but my plants are not there. I thought about adding in a photo of the plant....but it is working better for me to select a similar plant and edit it. ( : Also, I have two other questions...and perhaps these are also glitches. After I have edited a plant, I have put three of them in my landscape. All were designated planted at 1 y.o. When I change the "grow" view, not all of them grow and they are obviously different sizes. I have tried redoing the plants, but still inconsistent results. I have no idea why sometimes when I put in a plant a triangle with an exclamation point appears. There is lots of room for the plant...it is the middle of 1 acre. I cannot find anywhere in the manual that tells me about this. Thanks for your help. You seem to be the main person who is helping and I am sure all of us appreciate you. ( : Thanks again, Carolyn

Carolyn, You're welcome! :-) You mentioned that your OS is Mac 10.8.5. I have the same OS, and the program runs without problems I am attaching a screenshot, so you can see how the programs is supposed to run In the screenshot, I did a search with the word "mari" (outlined in green in the image), so all the Marigolds pictures show in the Inspector You can see the name in the Status Bar (outlined in red in the image) Now, regarding the exclamation point: If the program doesn't find a texture or a plant, it places an exclamation point, as you found I think all the issues are due a plants' library damaged or you have an installation problem Try to do a Generic Clean Install, as recommended by the manufacturer http://support.encore.co...genericcleaninstall.aspxLet us know about the results Patricia --> My website: www.punchhelpers.com--> My NEW e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Basic & Advanced Training --> My e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Importing, Exporting and Printing --> My e-books free video presentation: Pat's e-books --> My Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/punchhelpers.links |

Hi Carolyn, Yes, if you save the file you will be able to open it after the new installation Just a note, if you create Custom textures, plants, etc, I'd suggest that you save the originals separately, because they will be deleted in the new installation Good luck!! :-) Patricia --> My website: www.punchhelpers.com--> My NEW e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Basic & Advanced Training --> My e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Importing, Exporting and Printing --> My e-books free video presentation: Pat's e-books --> My Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/punchhelpers.links |

Everything works right now, except that the ruler will not longer rotate? I have it selected, can change the size and move it around, but when I input 45 or 90 degrees on the dialog box it just sits there. Am I doing something wrong or is this a glitch? I can live with it, but it would be nice if I were just doing somehting wrong.....

Hi there, No glitch here. The Edit => Rotate tool is intended to be used to rotate the building elements in the workspace (walls, stairs, fences, etc). As the virtual ruler is intended to measure the building elements, you can set the ruler position following the building elements using the ruler handles (black dots outlined in red in the image attached) To visualize the operation (follow with the image attached)=> draw a wall => open the ruler => set one of the ends matching one of the wall's ends => move the other end to match the wall end You can use also the length dimension tool. You will find more about this checking the page # 10 of the Manual Patricia --> My website: www.punchhelpers.com--> My NEW e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Basic & Advanced Training --> My e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Importing, Exporting and Printing --> My e-books free video presentation: Pat's e-books --> My Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/punchhelpers.links |

Very interesting. My original "corrupted" download rotated the ruler this way! So, now I'll just rotate by grabbing the end. Very Interesting. Thanks Again!
