Hi Tom Issan

The foundations in Punch are not visible in 3D. They are just a complement for the floorplan and of course, they will appear in the Estimator's Bill of Materials

If you need an inclined element, just for 3D visualization, you can use a roof piece and texture it as necessary. Or you can try a staircase, with steps (H & D) of 0.5" or less
Notice that these "foundations" will appear as roofs or staircases in the BOM

Notice that usually, in real life, foundations are not parallel to the lot profile. They are horizontal segments with different elevations

thanks Patricia for your reply.
I did try the roof piece as you suggested although the thickness can't be adjusted to the actual height of the grade beam. I will try the staircase next...

Hi Tom,

You are correct, the roof thickness (height of your beam) cannot be adjusted
Perhaps is a good idea a 3D beam (workshop object)

Let us know if you need additional help

Hy
I bought Home & landscape Design professiona; ( nexGen).

I try to do a shelter with no wall, only column.
The description is:
-a concrete slab 40x20 ft and 6 inchs think
-several 8 foot wood column (6 inchs sqare), every 8 feets, on the perimeter.
-On top of that will be a small roof.
How I can do that. Please give the move to do in details.

Hi there,

Floor --> use the floor tool (floor tab)
Roof --> use the roofs tools (Roof tab)
Columns --> Furnishing --> 3D library --> Exterior --> Accessories --> you'll find several columns --> if you prefer, you can add the columns for the structure (see Framing tab) --> these columns will appear only in framing view
Is highly recommended that you read the manual and help file to get familiar with the different capabilities, tools, screens, menus, etc
