Hi Larry Dodd,

This happens because you are texturing the Autofloor. To set different materials in the floor of each room, you need to create a floor for each room

In the floor tab--> Plan Toolbar menu (upper menu)--> Floor tool (13th icon from the left)(see attached)--> create a floor for the room--> set the thickness and elevation--> texture as necessary

Two notes
- If you put this floor above of the autofloor, set the elevation of the new floor at least 0.1"above the autofloor
- If you set the autofloor + manual floor, you will have two floors in the Estimator

Argh! I have tried and tried to apply two different materials on one level. I use the 'floor' tool to outline the rooms, apply material and 1) the materials goes over the ENTIRE floor (carpet in bathroom!) or 2) the material jumps onto the DOOR instead of the floor! I'm going insane. Any help? Thanks!

Hi sherriwerner

Some tips to apply colors and materials
- you must be close to the element to be textured
- you should develop a floor area for each room--> select the area--> verify the elevation--> the new floor area should be above the Autofloor
- you can't texture or apply colors through a door or window (even if the door is open or the glass looks transparent, the wall is still there)
- If you are working on a surface under the 0.00 level, you must set the elevation of the yellow (or green) man as negative. This means that if you floor elevation is -96, the elevation of the yellow (or green) man must be, for example, -60. Set the elevation double clicking on the yellow / green man

If all of the above fail, then check for a video problem in your computer--> go to the website of your card manufacturer and update the drivers
