Hi there,

General comments:
1 - You can use these instructions to post your questions and images at the Forum.
http://forums.punchsoftware.com/WebX/.fad5ab2?50@@
2 - AS 4000 is a very old program so I'd suggest an upgrade.
3 - Version 17.7 is the current version and Architectural Series is the best program.

Regarding you questions:
1 - how do you put the downstairs and upstairs together => you must create a wall for the 1st floor and wall for the second floor. In this way, you will have one trim for the base of the wall of the first floor and one trim for the base of the wall of the second floor

2 - ) I need to place one door between both first and second floor on the exterior wall, where the stair landing is => use this work around => divide the wall in 3 segments (left, center and right)--> set the door in the central segment, with the width and height of the door only --> for the left and right segments--> set the two levels (that will show the different colors/textures - in red / green in the image)--> in the second floor adjust the settings (height and elevation ) of the wall over the door --> in orange in the image--> texture as necessary.

If you are interested, you will find tutorials about these subjects in my e-books
Learning Punch Software (R): Training, Tools & Tutorials - Second Edition
Learning Punch Software (R): Basic & Advanced Training-Second Edition
As these e-books cover all the versions, they will help you with AS 4000 as well as AS 17.7

Hi there,

For AS 4000 => use the Power Tool called "DXF / DWG Importer" (see attached)
