Hi Sandy,

As you probably know, this forum is user to user (I am a Punch user like you) therefore we can't help you with the installation problems because most probably they are related with a computer issue.
You can check these tips in the manufacturer webpage
http://support.encore.co...genericcleaninstall.aspx
http://support.encore.co..._id=1645&product_id=3111
Or you can contact the Technical support by email or phone

Just got this new cd from Punch and tried to install it, got message: A decompression error has occurred (#6), read/write failure. Tried to do a trouble ticket with Punch - no reply. I am using XP Pro. Have never had this problem installing from cd's before. Is it possible the cd is bad?

As you know, this Forum is user to user, so I am not sure if I'll be able to help you. I didn't hear about this issue before, but I will ask to my contact in Punch
In the meantime, I am sure that the tech dept will be able to help you. If they don't answer the tickets, you can call them => 800-365-4832

Hi Mike,

I got an answer from my contact in Punch.
Probably, it is a disc issue. Try this: copy the install files off of the disc onto your hard drive and then run the install from there.

Let me know about the results,

The only files on the cd are an autorun file and an exe. file, which I can not open to find install. If I am not doing this correctly please tell me what to do.

Thanks

Hi there,

I will be glad to help but, please, post the complete information

Please include the title, version, and platform you are using. On the PC you will find this info in the main menu->Help->About…
Try to detail the problem as specifically as possible, so we can understand the issue. Let us know exactly what you want to do, what you tried, what seems broken, etc.
If you wish to post images --> follow these steps:
- upload your picture to a free online photo album like Photobucket or Flickr or Picassa, for example
- Look for the link of your picture (usually, photo albums provide a "link for a forum" script) --> copy the full URL --> Paste the link in your post
Some issues can be related to hardware you are using. Please post any information you have on your system (motherboard, video card, etc).

I have just changed computers and need to reload the program but it will not load from the new cd that was sent to me. I am running Windows 7 Pro. A fellow by the name of Matt emailed me the last time I had a problem. He told me how to download the program from the web and it worked. Unfortunately I have deleted that information. Could you please have him email this info. to me again.

Thanks
Mike
