Hi Jack, I've noticed what you are talking about.

When I click on the wall tool, change the wall thickness and stud spacing it applies to all the new walls I draw.

However if I start my new wall from the end of an existing wall it will use the existing wall's properties and ignore the defaults. This includes wall thickness, the wall style (hip, gable), etc.

I think one reason is currently you cannot have 2 walls joined with different thicknesses, they have to be drawn so their end points don't auto connect and join.

Yes, I have to edit my grid spacing or on/off each new design.

Hi Jack & Mike

I find the best way to start a new design, keeping your preferences, is to open your last design, in the Edit Menu click 'Select All' and then 'Delete". This leaves you with a blank page but with all of your preferences intact.

Cheers

Good call. Could even create a blank design, set up all the settings, then save it as "New Design Template".
