Hi there,
- In some projects, we need to define the levels as real lines or steps, so the levels should be defined with straight lines
http://www.punchhelpers.com/exterior9.html- In order to create the steps but soft the lines--> trace the lines --> select --> adjust the curve (right pane) --> so you'll see the same levels, but you can't see the sharp edges
http://www.punchhelpers.com/exterior10.html- You can use small berms (closed circles) to define the topography
http://www.punchhelpers.com/exterior2.html- You can soft the lines as described above + get a better topo quality for the rendering
http://www.punchhelpers.com/residential20.html- Another good idea is the definition of the slope with less topo lines
http://www.punchhelpers.com/residential11.htmlNow, regarding the driveways following the slope --> Try this--> Assuming that you already developed the topography--> Create your driveways / sidewalks with several points (handles)--> select the driveways / sidewalks--> Edit (or right click) --> Float Object Above Topography--> in this way, each point will float above the berms and other Topo objects, with different elevations if necessary
In order to create the handles, just left click with the mouse while drawing the driveway
http://www.punchhelpers.com/residential10.htmlAnother great resource is Ground fill region (landscape tab--> second icon) draw the perimeter of the driveway with several points (handles)--> select the driveways / sidewalks--> Edit (or right click) --> Float Object Above Topography--> in this way, each point will float above the berms and other Topo objects, with different elevations if necessary
In order to create the handles, just left click with the mouse while drawing the driveway
