There are two ways
- Method 1-->Using the 3D workshop

Method two--> In the main program--> Use a piece of floor as counter and use the floor cutout tool (Floor tab) to make the hole. Notice that the thickness and elevation of the floor and of the floor cutout must be the same

Of course, you can edit one of existent cabinets / counters with the help of the 3D workshop

Okay I think I see how it works but why can't I edit an existing sink hole? I don't seem to be able to select the hole in the countertop???

Yes, it is possible
In the 3D workshop--> Options--> point selection--> you will be able to select / modify / move each point individually
