HI Everyone
I am new to the software and the forum...so be patient with me! I have 2 questions...

I have searched everywhere for a way to turn my 3d into an elevation...am I missing something??

Also, I am having the hardest time adding a sink to a kitchen island/peninsula. I have a farmhouse sink in it now, but you can still see the countertop thru sink. I tried doing the cutout, but still cant get it. Same thing with the stairs! I used an island and pushed the 24" side up against the wall to make a peninsula, maybe I did that wrong too? Please help! Thank yoou!

Did you check the Elevations View? => In the user's Guide => Go to page 42 => there is a section called "To display elevation view". Or simply search the guide using the keyword "elevation"

Go to the plumbing tab => select the sink icon => go to the Library tab => select "Kitchen" => insert the desired sink on the cabinet => the new sink will create the cutout automatically.
If you have a different sink (not in the current libraries), you can open this new sink using the 3D Custom Workshop Power Tool and insert the cutout.

Same thing with the stairs!

In order to set a staircase, you must create the floor cutout using the Floor Cutout tool (Floor Tab). Notice that the thickness and elevation of the cutout must be the same thickness and elevation of the floor.

You can do this with an island or with a cabinet, setting the desired overhang.

Some tips:
Punch, as any program, has a learning curve. The best way to learn the program, IMO, is practice + practice + practice => Read and follow the manual (this is important), see the videos => try to create elements not related with your project, so you will become familiar with the commands and how to develop the different components. In the manual, you will find information about the Pool Designer Power Tool, staring in the page 353.

In addition, you will find free tutorials in my Website and Facebook page
If you are interested, this is the link for the V20 eBook for Windows. My eBook includes tutorials about starting and developing a project, setting floors and elevations.
Hope this helps.

Thank you for that info.

Elevation - The elevation view is great of the exterior, but is there a way to do elevations on the interior (like the kitchen)?

Hi there,

You're welcome!

Yes, you can do interior elevations using the 3D Cutaway tool (last icon in the Edit Toolbar), as you can see in the image attached (plumbing fixtures are pointed with red arrows).

Elevation with 3d Cutaway.jpg (64kb) downloaded 1 time(s).

You will find more info about this tool as well as more examples in the User's Guide (page 43)

Hope this helps.
