Hello,

I'm working with version 21 and I'm having a few lighting concerns.

1. Whenever I use any of the 3 different point light options, if I have "glow" turned on, the glow will always be visible, even through walls!
Is there a way to stop this from happening?

2. I'm trying to create the look of the recessed florescent lighting. I have made a box and added a translucent panel on the bottom. I place a light source into this box. When this is rendered, I can see the effect of the light on the room, but I don't get any illumination or glowing of the translucent panel.

I bought Patricia's book and was hoping it might cover some of this, but I couldn't find anything related to this.

Than ks for your help,
Tod

Hello Todd,

Thank you for purchasing my eBook! ThumpUp

Yes, these items are explained in my eBook, but anyway, these are the answers.

This an effect of the working stage of the program => as happens with many other effects => use 3D => 3D rendering => Render Final Quality (More info => see Chapter Working in 3D - Starts on page 237 of my eBook)

There are two options for the lights => Beam or Ambient => you must select the "beam" option => (see page 166 of my eBook)

Hope this helps.
