Hi Patricia!

Long time no talk! I've been sailing along OK, but now have another issue. I'm using Punch Architectural Series 20.0.3.1019

I'm trying to use a wall cabinet as a base cabinet, which I think I can manipulate OK, but the issue is I'm trying to put it on a wall that measures only 24.75 inches in length. In real life, I can put a 24" cabinet there, but Punch won't accept it, even when I downsize the cabinet to 12".

Is there a workaround that will allow a cabinet to fit on a narrow wall?

Thanks for being there, as always...

Best,

Tom Newell

Hi Tom BigGrin,

This is a common problem when you use the cabinet tool. The only possible workaround is => create and resize the cabinet in another section of the same wall => drag the cabinet along the wall, placing the cabinet in the desired location.

As this is a frequent problem, I created the new Cabinets Collection, with 140 cabinets (basic and custom). They don’t need to be attached to a wall (the cabinets are installed in the User Library so you can drag and drop them directly in the plan or in 3D). They can be customized using different models, hardware, materials, colors, and features.

Hi Pat, I think I'll give the collection a try. Does it have a shaker door? Those are very popular today. Also can they be painted? Finally, we'll they be tallied in the "Estimator" power tool?

Thanks!

Hi Tom,

You can change all the elements in the cabinets (including colors, materials, hardware, etc.)

Regarding the Estimator => yes, the cabinets will be listed in the Estimator Power Tool by number and model (see image below)

Cabinets Estimator.JPG (19kb) downloaded 0 time(s).

Regarding the panels: you can include panels by editing the cabinets with the Workshop or by texturing the cabinets with textures featuring panels. For example, in the image below, the panels are textures!
