[V12] Project not saving top of brick area

I have a plant area that is surrounded by small brick fence.

I can change the colors and material on the front and back and it gets saved. But when I change the color on the edges (top and sides) it won't save.

When I go back the top and sides are alway white and I have to put the colors back each time I open the file.

Any reason why that would happen.

I am using the Architectural Series 4000 V12.
