I am designing a screened porch and I have had some trouble adding ceiling fans and lights to a sloped roof line. Do I have to 'float' each light/fan separately to the particular elevation at the appropriate point ? I have two other questions as well:
1. Is it possible to add a sky light to a roof design ?
2. Is there a Hot Tub object available ?

Hi snw,

Regarding your questions
- "Do I have to 'float' each light/fan separately to the particular elevation at the appropriate point ?" (for a sloped roof line), yes this the right way to set the lights
- "Is it possible to add a sky light to a roof design ?" Not directly but you can try several works around. Please perform a search with the word "skylight", you'll find a lot of discussions about this subject
- "Is there a Hot Tub object available ?" There several Hot Tub objects included as "Objects"with you Punch sw and in the plumbing tab. You can try also at www.punch-alternatives.com

Hope this helps

Hi there,

Tipi houses are cones (not octagons) with just one floor.
If you question means if you can design an octagonal house, yes you can.
If you question means if you can design a conical house, you can't.

I have acquired Punch! Home Design and Landscape Design Professional v. 19.0.7.1021 and I am using Windows 7 Family Premium as OS.
When I open the 3D Live View (Split Window) I have only a black screen in the 3D image Window. To see the rendered image I must hold on the left click of my mouse (whether on Walkthrough or Helicopter).
I do not know if this is due to a bug in the program or a problem with my computer.
Thanks in advvance for your help.

Hi there,

Usually, this issue means a hardware acceleration problem in your computer. Try this solution:
In your Punch program => Go to => Edit => Preferences => System => Graphics => Hardware Acceleration. By default, the level of the accelerations is "Full" => Move the control to the center and see if the problem is solved. If not, move the control to the left (None) => check if the problem is solved.
