Hi there,

1) How do you change Cabinet Colors? --> Go to liveview --> drag and drop a new color on the cabinet

2) How can you mount a TV above a fireplace? --> set the TV on the fireplace --> set the TV elevation

3) Be able to move around the 2nd floor? --> in order to Walk-through inside the house--> use this system to start--> Set the screen as half floorplan / half liveview--> set liveview as Walk-Through (the little man)--> in the floorplan view, you will see an arrow symbol --> point the arrow with the mouse and move this arrow to position the desired Walk-Through view--> also if you rotate the point of the arrow, the Walk-Through point if view will rotate as well . Don't forget to set the little man elevation according with the level of the house--> so if you wish to visualize the second floor of your house, for example, and the floor elevation is 120" --> double click on the icon of the little man--> set the elevation at, for example, 160" (40 or 50"above of the floor elevation)

4) Adding corner cabinets in a kitchen? --> the 9th icon is a cabinet corner

Also, I highly recommend a good reading of the manual and help files, so you'll become familiar with the program, controls, screens, etc

Hi Douglas,

Do you mean in the floor plan (2D)?

It depends of your version (Help --> About) , but as a general rule --> Go to 2D --> Screen colors --> change the desired elements / colors

My NexGen software doesn't have all the prompts, buttons and selections shown in helps and video resources. Is there anyone in upstate SC interested in jumpstarting me?
I'm using it on Windows XP.

Hi Edward,

This can be one of 2 problems
1 - Are you working in the Quick Start mode? If so, keep in mind that the Quick start mode is just this, a fast layout. Therefore, after you press the "Continue" button you will be able to Save, Import file, Print, Move as well as use all the Punch features, including the Power Tools
2 - I know that some Punch features are disabled until you register the program, so if you didn't register the program, take a moment to do this step

Now, regarding your question about basic training and jump-start, I have a website dedicated to provide Punch services and training. The sessions are Internet based and independent of the place where my Customers live.

Please, check my website

Hi there,

To create the exterior border, you can use the rectangle tool (Detail tab).
For the title bar: The title bars are included as one of the libraries in the Templates section => Properties bar (right of the screen) => Templates => title bar => you will find different models of bars, in 3 different languages.

I just want to design the landscape for my front yard without having to create the entire house but I can't figure out how to just start with the landscape. Keeps starting me at floor plan. Frustrated.

Hi there,

Not sure what do you mean by "Keeps starting me at floor plan"? Do you mean that when you open the program it starts in Quick Start mode?
If this is the issue, note that you can use this stage to design your house or bypass it by clicking "Continue " at the right of the screen. I this way, you will go to the main program and start your project as desired.
If you prefer to deactivate the Quick Start Mode, go to the Main Menu => Edit => Preferences => User Interface => Uncheck the option "Start in Quick Start".

If this is not the issue, try to detail the problem as specifically as possible, so we can understand the issue. Let us know exactly what you want to do, what you tried, what seems broken, etc.

If you wish to post images --> follow these steps:
- upload your picture to a free online photo album like Photobucket or Flickr or Picassa, for example
- Look for the link of your picture (usually, photo albums provide a "link for a forum" script) --> copy the full URL --> Paste the link in your post.
