Hi there,

If your Power Tools menu is grayed, then you are in "Quick Start mode". The Quick start mode is just this, a fast layout, that you can use or just bypass it.
Therefore, after you press the "Continue" button you will be able to Save, Import, Print, Move, Use the Power Tools, set the precision and units, as well as use all the Punch features.

ok thank you! After messing around with this yesterday, I think it may be beneficial to recreate my home in the program. Is there a way to draw just the exterior of my home so I don't have to mess around with the interior dimensions?

Hi there,

You're welcome! :-)
Sure. If you have the exterior dims of your house, use the wall tool (Floor tab) to create the walls in the perimeter, add windows, doors, etc.

Hi there,

Do you need to design a house from a photo? Add landscape to a picture?
Try to detail the problem as specifically as possible, so we can understand the issue. Let us know exactly what you want to do, what you tried, what seems broken, etc.
Also, please include the title, version, and platform you are using. On the PC you will find this info in the main menu->Help->About… On the Mac this info is on the title menu->About…

Hi there,

Use the Photoview Power Tool to insert the picture. In the floor plan, you will see just a line, but in 3D, you will see the image => set the correct dimensions.

In the images linked below, I started with a picture inserted in the Punch work space and I added (drag and drop) the Punch objects / plants--> trellis, flowers, landscape elements, etc

In the image linked below, the house on the left is a picture. The addition on the right and the shutters are Punch's

If you are interested. my eBook for V19 (Mac): Learning Punch Software (R): Training, Tools & Tutorials for V19 - Mac Version includes a tutorial and lots of information about this subject.

Hi there,

As you probably know, this Forum is user to user (I am a Punch user like you) so we don't deal with registrations, activation codes, etc. For these issues, you must contact the manufacturer or the point of purchase.
If you bought the program with Encore, you can check this issue with Tech Support
