Is there a comparable control over the floor outline dimensions? I'm using the floor outline feature to apply different textures to different parts of a room, but the actual dimensions are of very little value.

Hi rdtompki

Yes, AS 3000 V10 has auto dimensions for the floors. To hide them, just uncheck the option in the properties bar

Is there a way of making the floor dimensions appear in black instead of red. The walls and outline are black but when I click on a wall to check those figures are red and I can't read them. Also, why does my cursor jump to another section when I try to move a wall? It glides forward for a while then suddenly jumps. My AS18 didn't do that. thanks Len

Hi Len,

The dimensions take the color of the tab where they are inserted (Roofing, plumbing, etc),

The red dimension appearing is the relative distance to the opposite (parallel) wall, as you move
In the image attached image, the dim of the selected wall is 304". As you move the wall to the right using the mouse, the red dimension appears just for a moment showing the distance with the opposite 304"--> this distance is 289"--> the color changes to the color tab as you continue moving and this distance disappears as you release the mouse
But as you can see the original dimension (304') always appears with the same color.
If you wish to avoid this "as you move" dimension, just move the wall with the arrow keys

Not sure what do you mean by "jump to another section", can you elaborate, please?

Hope this helps
