Hi Wayne Roberts,

Try these resources (I used all them in the image attached)

Say you have a wall with height 104", your wainscot height is 60" and your chair rail is 4"
1 - Create a wall with height= 64"--> apply the wainscot--> apply the rail as crown molding. For the upper segment, create a wall with height= 40"and set the elevation @ 64" (it will be stacked on the 64"wall)

or

2- Create a wall with height= 60"--> apply the wainscot--> For the upper segment, create a wall with height= 44"and set the elevation @ 60" (it will be stacked on the 60"wall)apply the rail as baseboard

Hope this helps

Patricia

one a commercial building we are designing I have set the windows at 42" to accommodate the 42" wainscoat. When I place the wainscoat it appears to move up about 6" and leave siding visible on bottom as well as wraps partly up each side of the windows. How can I get to show to ground level or to bottom of siding. Thanks, Allen

Hi there,

the wainscot elevation is the top face of the finished floor, therefore if the height of your floor is 6", the 42" will start at 6".
You can remove the autofloor so the wainscot elevation will start at 0"
