Hi there,

Working on the Doors designer, I created a custom garage door with dim 3049 x 2156 mm

Two questions:

1° When I add it into a wall, I got the default doors size of 700 x 2040 instead.
Why ? (yes, I understand I can change that).

2° I read Pat's TTT on Doors design, but didn't find how to open the door as a garage door, upwards.
Is this possible, please?

Thank you.

Because the doors designed with the Door Designer Power Tool are components and they are just part of the library (not part of a project). When you apply a door in the main program, the properties bar shows the dims of the last door applied or the default dims => for flexibility reasons, you can customize the dimensions, set them as double doors, etc.

The doors'operation is covered in the page 137 of my eBook => "The opening operations of the Pocket, Bi-fold, Sliding and Garage doors are specific to these types of default doors => this means that it is not possible to create a Custom Door with side or overhead opening => all the Custom doors will open as hinged doors."

Hope this helps
