Hi Patrica
I am building a foundation plan, with a crawl space and would like to see the footings ( the red broken lines) show 20 inches wide, but all I get is 12 inches wide, and I do not see anyway to change the width. Is there a way? Also why does Punch call footings "stiffener beams" and not footings?
Thanks Ralph

Hi Ralph,

By clicking on the exterior side of the perimeter walls, a yellow band will be created around the walls (pointed with a green arrow in the image below) => the Properties tab menu allows the modification / customization of the Foundation Width to 20" or any other width (outlined in red in the image below) => the Foundation Width will change to the new width (pointed with a blue arrow in the image below).
As you have my eBook, you can see more details about this subject on pages 126 - 127

"Stiffener beams" and "Footings" are different elements, therefore they are called with different names.

Hope this helps.

OK Patricia
I did refer to your your punch helper, but I must of not followed the instructions correctly the first time. But it worked well this time. Thanks for that. I have been building houses and low rises for over 45 years, and I never heard of a stiffener beam until I started with punch. I googled it and now I learned. I think they are used more in high rises and commercial buildings. Thanks again for such a quick response, even on a Sunday.
