I am new to punch software. Having trouble getting started. Was looking for a quick software to allow me to draw house plan additions.
As I draw rooms then try to modify it seems like other walls move as well. I am looking to create drawing for builders to provide drawings for permit approval. Also looking to draw sectionals of wall details.

Can this software support what I am attempting to do? If so can some point me in the right direction.

FYI..I have been in the drafting design field for 37+ years. Was looking to use this software to replace my manual drawings. I am just not understanding the basic concept of getting started with Punch.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Hi there,

Punch, as any program, has a learning curve. The best way to learn the program, IMO, is practice + practice + practice => Read and follow the manual (this is important), see the videos => In order to get started, try to create elements or a simple plan not related with your project, so you will become familiar with the commands and how to manage the different components and solutions.

If you are interested, I created two useful resources:

- Learning Punch! Software (R): Training, Tools & Tutorials for Version 21 The perfect companion for your new V21 Punch! programs.
More than 610 pages and more than 1300 color images (showing the new features, tutorials, screen guides, tables, examples, rendering results and screenshots as well as the updates).

- Fast & Easy Series - Create Your 3D Project in 8 Fast & Easy Steps. A new concept! Learn how to create your project in 8 Fast and Easy Steps. Start with a draft and follow the process step by step, to get a fully furnished project. Includes the finished PRO file used in the eBook that you can check as you read.
