I was never able to import files from 3dwarehouse.sketchup.com
I always get an error

"an error was encoutered while importing the Sketchup file"

Please, clarify the name of your program: is it Punch Home & Landscape Design Professional?
On the PC you will find this info in the main menu => Help => About…

Hi there,

Punch V20 imports only Sketchup files up to V2017.
This is the 3D warehouse issue => If you find a Sketchup model that you like and you just click on the "Download" button, by default, it will be downloaded as Version 2021, therefore you won't be able to import it to your Punch V20 program. However, on the right side of the "Download" button there is a small white arrow => by clicking on the arrow => a drop down menu will open => you can select the different versions => check if Version 2017 or any previous versions are available. In this case, you will be able to download and import the object.
If the available versions of the object are only 2018 or up, you will need to change the version number of the object => to do this, you can download the Sketchup program (it is free) => just open the object with the Sketchup program => Save as => select the version => proceed to import the object to Punch.

Hope this helps.
