Hi rdtompki,

Not with AS 3000. Punch AS 4000 (V8 and the new V10) has the Symbol Editor and it imports / develops symbols, and they remain a single entity

Hi LD Mack,

As you are in the DXF / DWG section, I assume you are asking from a CAD plan to Punch?
Do you mean rooms from different CAD plans?
Or do you mean between Punch plans?
If you provide more info, we'll help you

Hi Len,

2 options
1 - select the room, furniture, etc--> copy (in the original plan)--> paste (in the second plan)--> notice that you must copy and paste in the same level
2 - (for AS 3000 V7 or up)--> select the room, furniture, etc--> template--> create a template--> you can use this template in other plan

Hope this helps

We have drawn our home and our site plan. Now we need to transfer to disk in pdf or dwg format so we can have them printed. We can have it printed at the blueprint shop in pdf. or an architect if it is in dwg. However we cannot seem to do this. Please help with some directions and requirements. Thank you

Hi Pamela Green,

You can export your floorplans to DXF or DWG using the DXF / DWG exporter (power tools)

To separate and export plans, please follow these steps:

- Open your Punch plan.
- Set the first floor as working plan.
- Edit--> Select All--> Edit--> Copy
- Create a new and empty Punch file.
- Set the first floor as working plan.
- File--> Paste
- File--> Save as -->firstfloor.PRO
- Power Tools--> DXF/ DWG Exporter--> Save as--> firstfloor.dxf or firstfloor.dwg

Repeat the process with level 2 and level 3

You can also print them to PDF (see below)

Regarding the elevations, you can print them to PDF from the elevation editor
You'll need Acrobat writer (or you can get a free PDF sw): Open the plan and ask for the option "Print to fit page"-->print to file -->select your printer as "Acrobat PDF writer". To trim or save as, you can do it in the Acrobat PDF reader. Also, you can Print to Scale (for the plans), changing the size of the paper

Let us know if you need more help
