Hi Kathy,

Thank you for sharing the post with us, this always helps users to learn more about Punch

Regarding you question about the walls' "sidedness", do you mean the properties?
If so, the answer is yes, as you join the walls using the mouse they fuse and become a set, with the same properties. You can avoid this using the arrows in your keyboard to join the walls. However, notice that to use some Punch features (Roof Wizard, Sq Ft calculation, for example, the walls must be a set

In terms of safety (related with calculations), the right professional is an Engineer, not an Architect. There are not half terms, just the right professional for each job
See my article Do I need an Architect?
http://www.punchhelpers.com/need_arch.html

"Is it possible to use Punch! plans legally?", some elements of a set of drawings are present not in Punch in general but only in some versions.
This means that several requirements of the Building Departments (as the building details, for example) can be developed and linked using Punch, but only with Punch AS 4000 (V8 and V10). These versions have the Section Detailer, a PT intended for this function
In other versions you can create the sections with the Detail tab or import them (as CAD elements) however, they cannot be linked to the design

Hi good people, I have already posted this message elsewhere and it may have been lost in the internet nether regions. I want to make a floor plan from an existing home using inside dimensions only from inside surface to inside surface ( not from center or outside surface). Is it possible to do this in Punch 3000? Thank you, Charlie [email protected]

Hi Charlie Allen,

Yes, you can.
Click a wall to select it--> the Wall Properties bar is displayed--> Click the button next to Centers / Surfaces to set the desired reference
Settings are individual for each wall, Punch will not remember your preferences about the walls centers / surfaces
