Hi Gary,

With Punch, you can import a 2D DWG or DXF plan and convert each element into a 3D Punch element.
However, there are some limitations.
If you imported a plan, your walls will be lines, so you can easily convert each line into a wall and set the dimensions, thickness, etc
In the same way you can convert the topography, freehand roofs, stairs, decks, etc.
Doors and windows are special objects so they must be elaborated individually
3D objects (chairs, tables, etc) must be elaborated individually
Regarding your questions,
- Yes, you can add all the CAD layers / floors
- About the studs. You don't need to import / extrude the Cad stud's plan. After the Punch model is ready, you set can the studs etc in the framing editor

Let us know if you have additional questions

Hi clickman4u,

After you set the right 3D view (in liveview)--> File--> Print 3D liveview--> you've 4 qualities to choose

If you prefer, you can export the images (File--> Export 3D--> BMP, JPG, etc). Then open your image(s) with MS Paint or other image sw and print from there

Hope this helps
