Hi Miller W,

You can't import *.skp (Sketchup) files using Punch AS 4000, at least not directly. You can (using a third party program) convert the *.skp file to the 3DS format and then, you can import the 3DS file to the 3D workshop
To convert 3DS files to Punch, please, follow this short tutorial
http://www.punchhelpers.com/3dsfiles.html

Now, Punch AS 5000 has a new Power Tool called 3D Workshop Pro--> this new tool imports *.skp files and convert them to Punch objects as well as other formats

I take it Home & Landscape NextGen also cannot import skp without the extra conversion step. This would be a really great addition in the next version of your NextGen line. There are many very common furnishing types that are not present in the libraries that come with Home & Landscape, that designing a home remotely close to what you envision is pretty frustrating. Having access to the large library of skp files now available would help make up for this deficit (especially for those of us with limited 3d modeling skills).

Hi Bryan Bates,

As stated, there are many (free) skp to 3DS converters. But, if you don't want to perform conversion, there are many (free) 3DS objects in the net--> you can download them and import them using the 3D workshop

If you experience problems importing 3DS objects
