Hi Mary you need to tell Punch what those lines are and the properties of each element, so Punch can "build" the 3D model After you import your plan, you must select each line--> go to the Properties Bar (right of the screen)--> convert to--> exterior wall for example (check image attached) Some notes In the floorplan plan, your walls will be lines, so you can easily convert each line into a wall and set the dimensions, thickness, etc In the same way you can convert the elements, freehand roofs, stairs, decks, etc. Doors and windows are special objects so they must be created individually 3D objects (chairs, tables, etc) must be elaborated individually with the 3D workshop If you experience problems with the CAD import tool, please see my tutorial http://www.punchhelpers.com/acadtutorial.html Patricia
