Great. I just got AS 4000 V10. Can I upgrade diretly to V12? Do I have to pay for it? Is it a lot different from V10? Thanks, Tom

I just loaded V10 and am looking at what differences I get from V12. One of the things that was mentioned before for 5000 was the ability of the helicopter to look straight down onto the project. Does 4000 V12 have that ability? Thanks, Tom

I think it was said that 4000 would be able to show my retaining walls as solid instead of 2 separate walls. They are still not solid. Can I set them to be solid? Thanks, Tom

Please, read carefully what I wrote to you regarding the solid walls and versions

Your question and my answer

Q - Did you say that the retaining wall shows solid in the later versions 3000+?
A - Solid walls show in the following programs and versions (as per your question, these are just the Architectural Series)-->
- Architectural Series 5000 also called AS 5000
- Architectural Series 4000 version twelve also called AS 4000 V12
- Architectural Series 3000 version twelve also called AS 3000 V12

I guess I missed the V12 part. Also, if you want to make a brick planter, is retaining wall what you would use? Just want to make sure on this. Thanks, Tom

Hi Tom,

Depends of the type of planter and the use of the file
There are some ready to use planters in the objects library. These are Punch objects. But if you intend to use the Estimator power tool in order to estimate the materials, I'd suggest the use of a wall--> you can set the properties with the Framing Editor Power Tool
