Hi Steve,

It depends a lot of the type of house and type of slope. As a matter of fact, you can develop the house and after this, the slopes, or vice versa, however, I'd recommend the first option. If you have a level under the 0.00, verify if the exterior walls are perfectly linked
Once you have the house ready--> go to the Topo Designer Power Tool--> the 8th icon from the left is the building pad tool--> trace the contour of the lower level (also for the levels touching the topography)--> You can also use one of the shapes--> Convert to building pad--> after this, you can add the slopes

Thanks Patricia,
What do you mean by make sure the exterior walls are perfectly linked and how do I do that.

Hi Steve,

in the lower level, the Exterior Walls must be set as a closed perimeter to avoid the "grass inside the house" issue
When you draw 2 or more walls and you join them using the mouse, you will notice that they will "fuse", and instead of two or three different walls you will have a set of walls, with the same properties (thickness included)
However, if you join them using the arrows (keyboard) the walls will be together, but they will not fuse, therefore they will not share their properties, so you can use different thickness
The exterior walls can be fused only with other wall in the starting point and other wall at the end point. This is why, after you create a closed perimeter with the exterior walls, you can join the interior walls with the mouse, and they will not be fused with the exterior walls
