Hi baloo,

In Punch world, constructive aspects are not mandatory.
In other words, in order to draw your deck, you don't need to draw a ledger board.
However, if your question means if you need a ledger in real life, this question can be answered by a professional after his / her calculations and structural design

I'd suggest to check my article "Do I need and Architect"

My bad. I don't need punch to tell me the "real life" answer. I phrased it improperly. My question is how to do it IN THE SOFTWARE? I also need to see how to change the direction of the joists, however i think i saw another message on that so I'll do the search.
