Hi Paul,

900 millimeters are 90 centimeters or 0.9 meters, but if you import 900 as centimeters, Punch will understand the dimension as 900 centimeters or 9 meters

If you wish to import the file in centimeters, just edit the files in Autocad, and Scale= 0.10

Unfortunately, the DXF files can't be imported into the 3D workshop

Let us know if you need more help

Hi Patricia, Thanks for the swift response, but unfortunately I don't have Autocad. I obtained the DXF file from a web site 'www.pavingexpert.com' (which may be of interest to other Punch! software users). There are a number of other files available on this site, so I wanted a way of incorporating them into my MLP plans. Can I edit the DXF file to change the scale? Thanks... Paul.

Hi Paul,

I checked the site, but unfortunately the patterns are just in mm, and as is stated at the site, to convert to other units, you need Autocad

Anyway, I downloaded and scaled the pattern to cm. I attached the new DXF file (in cm) to this post, so it is available for you as well as other Punch users.

The file is a DXF R12, so it can be imported also with Punch AS18 (and AS 3000, of course)

Hope this helps!

Hi Patricia, Thanks for converting the file, I appreciate it. I hope you found the site interesting. I guess I will have to consider getting Autocad, or just spend the time creating a plagiarised version myself. Regards... Paul.

Hi Paul,

You're welcome!

Depending the work you are trying to do, you will find lots of free Cad applications, perform a Google search with "Free Cad". Also, check at download.com, enet and tucows

Hope this helps!
