The version 8 programs are very old (current version is 17), so these programs work in a different way --> the thickness and height definition are not enough

Go to Power Tools --> Framing Editor --> There are several framing options as well as boards' lengths --> you can change these values or, if you prefer, just keep them as they are.
In other words, in order to see the framing elements in the Estimator Power Tool, your need to "visit" the Framing Editor Power Tool, with or without changes
