Hi Gerhard,

Punch Platinum v12 is a rather old program (about 2008), current version is V17, so I am not surprised that the patch won't install in Win 8. Try to install it in compatibility mode => note that it doesn't mean run in compatibility mode, but install in compatibility mode
Anyway, I don't think that the patch installation will solve the peak issue.
I am not sure if I understand your problem(a peak in the roof? ceiling?), however, if you post a picture (even a sketch) I will be glad to explain how to develop it

Try to detail the problem as specifically as possible, so we can understand the issue. Let us know exactly what you want to do, what you tried, what seems broken, etc.

If you wish to post images --> follow these steps:
- upload your picture to a free online photo album like Photobucket or Flickr or Picassa, for example
- Look for the link of your picture (usually, photo albums provide a "link for a forum" script) --> copy the full URL --> Paste the link in your post

Hi James,

Platinum V10 was released around 2008, so I don't think that it is compatible with Windows 8. As a matter of fact, my V10 programs don't work with Windows 7.
IMO, your best option is an upgrade to a new version. The current version is V17
Anyway, as you know, this Forum is User--to-user (I am a Punch user, like you), so I'd suggest to contact directly with the Punch TD => this the support page of your program
http://support.encore.co...ail.aspx?product_id=2761
at the bottom of each topic, you will find an email address and a telephone number to contact the TD

My PC has crashed and I had to order a new PC. How do I transfer the program to my replacement PC?

I have the original DVD for the Punch Professional Home Design Platinum v. 12.

I ordered an ASUS EeeBox PC EB1503-B008E running MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit.

Hi Jonura,

You don't need to transfer. Just use the original DVD and install the program in your new PC. You will need to register your program again.
Note that if you had Custom objects and textures in your old computer, you will need to import these items manually
Don't forget to download and install the free patch for your program.

My V12 program works fine with Windows 7
