You are not informing the name and version number of your program (Help --> About Punch!..)
As first solution --> Please after you check the info above, check if your program needs any patch or update --> see this page

I am not sure if I understand your second paragraph --> As you probably know, I am an Architect, and I am a volunteer here at the Forum. I am always glad to share my Punch knowledge, my how-to and tips as well as answering the questions posted by the Punch users.
My problem here is the fact that your second paragraph doesn't have any specific question! :-) so, I don't understand the problem.
Keep in mind that Punch is a 3D Home design program, and as such the focus is on conceptual design.

- Does Punch perform structural calculations ? (No, it doesn't)
