Hi there,

I don't think that you posted your message because I didn't receive any notification (I'm the Forum moderator). However you posted a message about this same subject, back in August

You can find your posted messages just using the Search button and using your Forum name as keyword. For example, create a search using "Rangerfied" as keyword => all your posts will be listed.

The perimeter and shapes of cabinets designed with the cabinet tool can't be modified. You can adjust the components, dimensions, etc changing the different options in the Properties bar (right of the screen)

Note that the cabinet tool is a just tool, not a Power Tool.

In order to learn the program, I created several eBooks, including an eBook about Power Tools, you can see the links in my signature.

Yes, back in August I was wondering if you could open a base cabinet you placed into the Power Tool. I thought any object could be opened in it.

This time I'm trying to design a cabinet within it because I can't find an angled cabinet within the program that will work. But I'm having issues designing the cabinet itself.

Thank you

Yes in August I wondered if all objects would open in the Power Tool when you double clicked on it.
This time I'm trying to design a cabinet base to fit the angled walls I have in my kitchen design, as I don't see any in the software that will work. That's where I'm having the issues is in the design itself.

I don't find the manual that came with the software that helpful with it. It's like it needs its own separate manual.

This is why I wrote the eBooks! :-)

For now I gave up on trying to make it work. I adjusted the one wall so I can redesign the kitchen.
Not what I wanted to do but got tired of trying to build the base cabinet and make it work. Needed a triangle shape and I think I need to start more basic and work my way up to more complicated objects.

Would it be the Learning Punch Software: Power Tool-Second Edition that would be best for learning that part of the program?

Hi there,

If you are going to design the cabinets with the 3D Custom Workshop Power Tool, then yes, my e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Power Tools-Second Edition will help a lot.
If you wish to use only the cabinet tool, then you need my e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Basic & Advanced Training-Second Edition.
Alternatively, you can get my all in one e-book: Learning Punch Software (R): Training, Tools & Tutorials - Second Edition that covers all the topics.

Now, if you need a cabinet with triangle shape, there is a trick: Landscape tab => Outdoor cabinets => the 4th cabinet is a triangle.
