Hi there,

I wish to move a door by 1mm along a wall, but when I disable the automatic grid feature, using the arrows moves my door by 5mm.
Is there a way to change that value without having to use the grid and change grid params, please?

Thanks.

Hi there,

The pixels are not part of the 2D Punch features. Also, the automatic grid feature in the workspace (on / off) is not related with the movements of the elements (components or objects).

You can control the movements by setting the different autosnap options (2D => Autosnap options). There is a different grid for the snaps => to set the snap distance => 2D Grid properties => Snap grid => set the desired distance.

So, how one should understand this: "When the “Snap to Grid” is turned off, Nudge moves the entity or feature one pixel at a time, instead of snapping to the grid distance." ? (p. 262 Punch Home Design User's Guide provided with Punch Architectural v20).

Edit: I found something. When selecting the biggest Plan Scale (1:10 in metrics), I can reduce one pix move to 3mm when I apply the maximum zoom factor on my 2D display zoom, not better.
So I guess I'll have to deal with this, i.e. place my objects carefully manually then move them by 3mm on each arrow keystroke.

Confused Mixed issues here.

The title of your topic is "change pixel resolution" => this concept is related with image definition and quality. Therefore, I answered the title's question => 2D pixel resolution is not a Punch feature.

Move an element one pixel at a time is a different concept, and in the Punch context, means a nudge distance.

You're welcome.

The exact method is the one that I described above => You can control the movements by setting the different autosnap options (2D => Autosnap options). There is a different grid for the snaps => to set the snap distance => 2D Grid properties => Snap grid => set the desired distance.
