Patricia,
I am having trouble rendering a white ceiling. I select the bright white color for the ceiling but they always come out a shade of gray. I also imported a white shiplap ceiling material that comes out gray in the rendering.
Is there any way to resolve this issue? I have attached a sample for your review.
Thank you for your assistance. Grubb Renderings 04262021.jpg (93kb) downloaded 3 time(s).

Hi Tom,

Can you tell me the version number of your program?

On the PC you will find this info in the main menu => Help => About…

Hi Tom,

Thank you for sending the information about the version.

Regarding the gray ceilings => This is a rendering effect and usually this is more evident with the white color, because the gray color is actually the white color with shadows.

In order to fix this, you have different options:
1 - Increase the ambient light in the scene
2 - Change the light source / intensity of the light fixtures.
3 - (This is my favorite for photorealistic rendering) => go to the 3D Effects tab => Reflectivity => Low Gloss Plastic => apply this effect on the ceiling only => Render.

Hope this helps.

Patricia, thanks. I will try your suggested item no. 3. I have tried ambient lighting adjustments without too much luck.
Have a great day.
