How might I increase the thickness of roof rafters in selected sections (see pic). We have an old house with a normal pitch roof, and we are adding a modern extension with a flat roof. This flat roof has rafters twice as thick as the rest of the house, how do I change them for this section only?

Hi there,

If I understand your image, the flat roofs are slabs. You can create the slabs using the Floor Tool, and set the desired / necessary thickness.

Punch, as any program, has a learning curve. The best way to learn the program, IMO, is practice + practice + practice => Read and follow the manual (this is important), see the videos => try to create elements not related with your project, so you will become familiar with the commands and how to manage the different components and effects .

If you are interested, in my eBook for Windows V20 you will find lots of tutorials and resources.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, only one of those sections is flat /(the left) so I will change that to a slab. The main roof shouldnt be flat, it will be a small pitch however I do need the rafters to be 400mm thick for that section.

Hi there,

You can change the height of the roof rafters in the Framing Properties.

Hope this helps.
