I am using Home Design Studio 21 (version 21.0.8) for Mac, OS Big Sur (version 11.0.1).

In the Landscape plan, I select the Pathway/Driveway tool. Then when I right-click on the drawing to begin forming a pathway, the application immediately quits. I have used this tool once before successfully, but now when I try to use it again in the same drawing this particular error occurs during every try.

Hi there,

I experienced this issue with elements featuring many points and small spaces between them.

Try this workaround: draw a closed polygon with less points => add points to create the desired shape.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your response. I understand what you are saying and it seems to work. But how do you add points to an existing polygon? Is that what you mean?

Select the polygon => Set the Detail Editing as "Point Level" (right of the screen) => Unselect => Editing Tools (left of the screen) => select the "+" tool (outlined in red in the image below) => apply "+" on the polygon => a point will be added.

Add Point.jpg (13kb) downloaded 0 time(s).

You can remove points with the "-" tool.

Hope this helps.
