How do I add soffit framing/connectors to the rake end of a gable roof? Also, is there a way to display rafter dimensions for printing?

To add soffits, use the Floor Tool (Floor tab) => set the thickness / elevation.

I don't see a way to display the rafters in 2d when creating a roof, therefore I can't show the dimensions on the printout. Also, If I want to use a beam for the ridge how can I add rafters manually? Sorry if these questions seem obvious to you, but it's all new to me.

No problem. I usually need more information in order to provide the correct solution. Thank you for understanding.

The only framing elements visible in 2D (floor plan) are the 3 types of components included in the Framing tab (Framing Beams, Framing Joists and Framing Columns). There aren't rafters for framing purposes, but you can create them as 3D objects using the 3D Custom Workshop Power Tool).

Hope this helps.
